Top Gordon River Cruises In Strahan - Compare & Book

• World Heritage Cruises operates the Harbour Master II, also known as the red boat. It is a locally owned and family-run business, operating since the 1980s.
• Gordon River Cruises operates the Spirit of the Wild, also known as the blue boat. This vessel is famous for its hybrid propulsion system, allowing it to switch to quiet electric cruising, so that passengers can hear the river.

Both Strahan Gordon River cruises stop at Heritage Landing for a guided boardwalk through the ancient rainforest and at Sarah Island, the ruins of one of Australia’s most brutal convict settlements. Alongside its popular 6-hour morning cruises, both operators also offer seasonal afternoon cruises between late December and mid-January.

Choosing the Right Seating Option
The major price difference comes from the location of seats on the boats. Both Gordon cruises offer two configurations: centre seating and window seating.

• Centre seats are the most affordable option, which also has access to open decks.
• Window seats, on the other hand, provide a viewing experience from a dedicated seat beside the window, making it easier to take in the ever-changing landscapes without obstruction. It is also slightly more expensive than the centre seats.

The seating arrangement on these Strahan Gordon River cruises is again split between the Main Deck and the Upper Deck. Upper Deck seating on World Heritage Cruises (Harbour Master II) offers a higher vantage point. Guests can also choose between centre and window seating on the upper deck.

Gordon River Cruises (Spirit of the Wild) offers an exclusive Premier Upper Deck experience featuring leather recliners, private outdoor viewing area and an enhanced dining experience with a special lunch. This is the most premium option listed with us.
